"The staff was very friendly, but one of our rooms had a tv and thermostat that didn't work (meaning no heat!). We let the staff know and they said it would be taken care of while we were out for the day. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case, and one of our rooms went without heat or a tv. "

However, in the 10 minutes that I was parked on the street while the staff person was trying to sign me up for a nearby parking garage, I received a parking ticket for 100 pounds Stirling. My only recourse was to pay a 50 pound reduced fine if I paid it right away without contesting it. A very inhospitable end to a fine trip. That's no reflection upon the hotel. A very bad reflection upon the City of Glasgow. The parking attendant must have been watching for us...

"Where do we begin? We arrived at the hotel, and the staff was courteous and very accommodating. Lunch and dinner at the hotel was exquisite, the room was clean and immaculately appointed, and our night’s sleep was peaceful. The Sherbrooke is a hidden gem, and we will tell anyone who visits Glasgow to stay there! Thank you all for such a marvelous stay. "

"Clean and modern hotel. Very stylish in it's look. Ideal parking. Check in to check out was great, room excellent and a ideal stay less one thing. Ordered room service rather than eat in the Grill, felt the food wasn't up to the quality expected. £35 for a ribeye that was undercooked and £19 for a burger that had been cremated. That said, breakfast was excellent so perhaps just an off night. Would stay again as apart from a let down for dinner it was overall very good."
