"Rooms were large and old but in a very good way. Reception staff were okay really. Very very disappointed with parking,on website it states small car park first come first serve which was fine BUT when we arrived the car park was cordoned off which meant we had to park at the NPC @£32 which we did not budget for so disappointed! Food menus not up to much and while a no smoking hotel,the terrible terrible smell of marijuana on the 2nd floor was overwhelming"

"Absolutely fabulous place. Staff go out of their way to be helpful. The building is fantastic. The restaurant food is of highest quality. The only criticism I would have is that the breakfast menu is extremely limited. Overall well worth a visit."

"A brilliant location within a short walking distance to the train and bus station and the Castle and other attractions. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The bedroom had a lovely comfortable bed (although a little creaky!) and the bathroom had everything you needed. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice."
