"We stayed at this beautiful space overnight on our way home and felt warmly welcomed. The place is relatively new and well equipped and tucked away in the town. Our host was wonderful and breakfast was delicious and filling. The supermarket is very close and easy to walk to restaurants and pastry shops nearby. "Evva was really friendly and helpful, and our accommodation was spacious and comfortable. We didn't like the fact that the shower was handheld only. Also, the villa is located at the stop of a very steep hill, so although the town enter is not far away, it's not the easiest walk."

"Die Unterkunft war wirklich sehr gut. Luxuriös ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Das einzige Manko war, dass der Pool nicht beheizt ist. Somit war er unbrauchbar für uns. Das Wasser war für die Jahreszeit (Oktober) zu kalt zum Baden. Aber laut Betreiber sollen nächstes Jahr ein Teil der Pools mit Wärmepumpen ausgestattet werden. "Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "

"The house was a lovely old Cretan house renovated to a high standard, and Popi was a wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable host - really friendly and full of suggestions of where to go next. You will need to have a car to get around as it is not at all central, and do not expect a modern building - but it was full of character and the aircon worked very well, so in my eyes it was perfect! I would happily stay here again, and hope to do so some day in the coming years."

"The check-in process was super easy. We were warmly welcomed by the man at Reception upon entering the door. Appreciated their help to offer assistance with our transport to the airport. Keyless entry was kind’a nice to have. The room we had was bright, clean and had a nice urban theme/furniture. Loved that the location was steps away from the Plaza and great restaurants closeby. Also conveniently located as it’s close to the port, fort and museums. Would highly recommend the Lion. "
