"We LOVED the architecture and the historical significance of the hotel. The lobby was lovely to sit in. Our room was comfortable, and we slept well on the mattress.
That said, there were a few cleanliness issues. The carpets in the hallways upstairs were dirty (as in not well vacuumed) as well as stained in several areas. Just not super well kept. Also our bathroom was not totally cleaned. Toilet seat had some residue on it.
That being said, my spouse and I are pretty low maintenance people, so this did not throw off our stay. We loved the atmosphere and beauty of the hotel, as well as the incredible location right next to the Alamo and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Would stay here again."
