"The electricity went in and out all night while we were there. The hotel would lose power and regain it and lose it again. It happened all night on one of the nights we stayed and through the morning as well. I couldn’t believe more people were not angry about this but maybe that’s something they are used to in this hotel. We were not and it was not a pleasant experience. In addition, this hotel is super hard to get in and out of. The parking is adjacent to the building and the entrance to the parking has a steep incline and can easily be missed. If you have lots of luggage you can have a hard time entering/leaving the property. While the breakfast is free, don’t expect any special or great, it’s pretty minimally standard. Truly, a refund should be given to us as we could not sleep/enjoy our stay peacefully and feel secure for our safety. In addition, when we called when the electricity came back on, the staff couldn’t explain what was going on, only that they had called for help. The hotel the next morning put up a sign saying they were testing the electricity, I guess they forgot to tell their own staff about that."

"You get a lot of value for the price at this property. While it’s not as fancy as upper tier hotels, it really stands out for being super clean, updated/newer, professional and courtesy staff. Location is nice. The buffet breakfast was really inexpensive but had many options, however the staff during breakfast other than the host were not very attentive and/or very slow."

"We made our reservation for two rooms through Expedia. When we entered the rooms, we were shocked. Everything was extremely old and dirty. The windows overlooked a demolished building that appeared to be a nesting area for flying insects. When we complained to the hotel, we were told that no other rooms were available. We then contacted Expedia and spent nearly two hours going back and forth between Expedia and the hotel before our rooms were finally changed. The replacement rooms were larger and somewhat nicer, but they were still not very clean and were extremely noisy. Both rooms faced a busy street with heavy traffic. Even with the windows closed, the traffic noise was constant and disruptive. I learned my lesson. I will never make a reservation through Expedia again. In my experience, booking through Expedia resulted in being assigned the least desirable rooms in the hotel."

"The location of the hotel is great, but not much else. The air conditioner in the rooms is not very strong, so it’s always pretty warm in the rooms. The towels provided look really old and are frayed."

"The atmosphere was lovely. It’s not a luxury hotel by any means, but the staff was nice and the hotel is so cute. It really set the tone for my stay in Guadalajara. The only things I would say is the bathroom kind of smelled due to what seemed like sewage issues, but it didn’t ruin the stay for me. Loved the little patio we got and the pool, which was so warm. I would highly recommend this hotel to any budget traveler."

"I love staying here. Every time I’m in town, this is where I usually end up staying. Hotel is always clean, bed is comfy BUT, they changed their pillows and the new ones SUCK! I wish they’d kept the old ones. Staff is friendly but the only thing I don’t like is the check-in process. Always takes a while and the front desk aren’t the friendliest, but the rest of the staff is awesome! There’s a bar a small block away that you can walk to that have good food too! I always enjoy my stay here. Oh, the pool sucks by the ways it’s like a kids pool."
