We loved this hotel. The staff were so friendly, checking you in and showing you to your room. It has a semi-ryokan style. The rooms are stylish and contemporary and each one has it's own genuine onsen bath (just like the pictures). There are many facilities to explore (including a great indoor and outdoor public onsen) and the atmosphere is beautiful. My regret is I had not given us enough time to enjoy this spot as it is not a hotel to just check into and leave, it is one to spend time in,...

A basic, no frills hotel but surprisingly good. Modern and clean, had everything we needed. Polite and friendly staff. Room had a bunk bed over the double bed, my two small children shared the top bunk and were very happy with that. Was quite a way from the train station but we had very friendly taxi drivers each way. There is a restaurant out the front but we went to an izakaya about 200 meters away which was amazing.

Thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay with half board, it felt really pampering and luxurious and excellent value for money. My Japanese style room was enormous and very comfortable. Having the onsen baths just a few floors down meant that I could enjoy it in just a few moments from leaving my room. I particularly loved the outdoor pool set into the forested cliffside, especially when it is lit up at night. There are lots of little touches like the free popsicles outside the bath area, and the...

It was as if taking a step back in time.
Drifting off to sleep in a dark room with the snow falling through the positioned sliding windows as to not see any of the surrounding modern day buildings, was a marvellous experience that I shall treasure forever.
Great amenities, a karoke room, natural onsens, a library and not to mention both a wonderful supper and breakfast, not to mention buffet style.
My only regret is not booking another night!
