When I came to check in, I didn’t get a warm greeting at all. The lady at the front desk was sitting at her computer and didn’t even notice me standing there. It took her a while to look up, put her things aside, and finally help me check in.
The parking is terrible. There are no handicap spaces on the back side of the hotel and only about four in the front. After checking in and getting our keys, we left to grab a few things from Walmart. When we came back, my 3-year-old autistic grandson set his cup on the nightstand, and it fell — the whole nightstand came off the wall and landed on the floor. I’m not sure if it hit him since he’s nonverbal and couldn’t tell us, but it was late, we were tired from driving over four hours, so I called the front desk the next morning. They moved us to the room next door and said maintenance would have to fix it.
The second day, parking was an issue again. I’m handicapped and have trouble walking, so that made things even harder. Breakfast wasn’t great either — nothing to brag about.
I chose this hotel because of the area and because the website showed a nice pool. But when we arrived, we were told the pool was closed “just for one day.” It ended up being closed the entire three days we stayed. My grandchildren were really disappointed, and honestly, so was I.
