"Great location! Clean, well-equipped, open and spacious apartment. We got a premium one. It was a corner apartment, so we enjoyed a lot of natural light. Cookies in the room were an unexpected and tasty treat! It was a bit noisy at night, but the white noise machine took care of that nicely. Smart touch. We plan to return some day. :)"

"The room was very clean. The hotel space in general seemed very clean However, the room had some weird random things- the faucet in the bathroom was loose and just kinda flopping around. The toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall. And after REALLY looking at the bathroom I noticed the trim was painted EXTREMELY messily While NONE of this was an issue with the stay - I guess I just expect more for the amount that’s paid for the room. "My favorite Detroit hotel"

"I did not find the Atheneum to be very well maintained nor clean. Our room was pretty ick to be honest; hairs on the bathroom walls, dust and gunk on all the tile ledges etc. The room decor is quite baffling…. Tons of random ledges, glass bricks, massive pillars. The couch was stained and the room smelled like stale cigarettes. But the staff were very friendly and helpful!"

"Loved everything about this hotel, however, I do wish there was some scent provided in the rooms or hallway. Room are beautiful and so is the location"

"The stay was great, room was great, breakfast was good and hotel is within walking distance to everything we needed and wanted to see and do. One suggestion I will make is the showers need some sort of shelf to hold products on."

"The front desk staff were fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about them. The bar/in hotel restaurant however might have been the worst service I’ve ever had. It took over 20 minutes to get a simple drink, and another 40 minutes to get our food, which was wrong/not what we ordered. The server was very polite (I don’t recall her name), but the wait times and lack of attention to detail was abysmal. The hotel and stay were wonderful, but I would never eat or get a drink there if I come back"

"I stayed here for a conference at the Huntington Center, it’s about a 10 minute walk away. Parking is close the building, you can see it from the lobby. Check in was a breeze, received an email about 10 minutes before check in with room number and key code.
