"I took the same ride last summer. Happened upon this Comfort Inn by chance. The staff was so helpful and friendly, the breakfast was so amazing and the room/property so clean and kept nice, I made it a point to stay on my way back home last year, and stay there once again on the start of my journey this time. I love this place."

"Room- Clean, a/c worked well. Sink smelled from the drain pipe. Also, ask for more towels for more than 1 day stay. Staff- Kitchen, guy didn't speak english. Just point to what needs replenishment. They have 2 coffee dispensers that grind whole beans per cup, no option. You're stuck with black, or adding half-n-half or 2 coffe mate pump flavorings. Slow system lines up the breakfast goers. Limited items, no milk containers for the kiddies. Did have yogurt and bananas. Shops- check on maps...

"I called the night before arrival and requested checkin for 3pm on the date of arrival to prepare for a wedding. (Standard checking time is 4pm.) I was told that that would be okay and that a fee would not be required. I was charged an additional $50 on my credit card by Allenberry Resort -- not through Expedia. I also slipped and fell in the shower, which was sloped and covered with a slippery soap-like film, and had no friction/anti-slip tape or decals. I explained this to the 2 desk clerks...

The stairs and hallway were dirty and were not swept once while we were there (5 days). The room could have been cleaner. The parking lot had weeds sprouting through many places. There is no elevator to get suitcases to the 2nd floor. The "breakfast" was pitiful. The staff was courteous and helpful but I would not recommend staying here."
