"I spent one night as a solo woman traveler. The pool was closed (not the season anyway), and the place is a construction site due to a recent fire, but still I gave 5 stars because it was still an excellent, comfortable, perfectly cared for, basic place. I will go again when I need a place to spend the night by the highway in a civilized and comfortable way. "

"The Allen Park Motor Lodge is showing it's age, but it met my needs as a comfortable place to stay for a couple of weeks while I moved into a new apartment."

"Room was clean.Parking was ok. Staff was helpful. Television did not work well. Also there was not a remote in the room to use the tv. had to get assistance from the desk for that. No hand soap in the soap dispenser. No alarm clock and no desk phone, so if we did not have a cell phone it would have been difficult to set an alarm and contacting the main desk or more importantly the 911 emergency line for issues."

"Room was clean but had a smell that’s hard to explain. I believe it came from whatever they were pumping in the air. The breakfast was fair given that the so called omelettes were always cold. Had biscuits and gravy one day out of four. As far as the staff, one person was polite while one was not happy when I asked for housekeeping. Told me they only do housekeeping every three days since COVID. She seemed upset to have someone take care of my room. For $500, I expect a little more customer service."

"Pretty much silent rooms with comfy beds and cozy pillows, helpful staff, sparkling clean and very updated everything, great breakfast (they even had oat milk, a GF cereal option, turkey sausage, and an array of toppings for oatmeal). Absolutely will stay here again."
