Location to downtown Galax and Highway 58 is excellant. Housekeeping was excellant. Coffee available in the morning and ice machine available in the office. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. Rooms were clean and each day the maid replaced the towels and cleaned the bathroom. We would stay there again.

NEEDS UPGRADES

This was not a good place at all. Beds were uncomfortable, bathroom was dirty and stained walls. We stayed two nights and housecleaning picked up used towels but never gave clean ones also they didn’t empty trash. Out side was in need of repairs to the walkways and driveway.

The Motel was very runed down. The bathtub drain was not working and the water would back up over my feet when I took a shower. Also, there was the starting of mold on the bathtub tiles. I wish I had spent the extra money to say in a better Hotel

It is an old motel. Convenient, and the bed was comfortable. Room and bathroom was clean. Parking lot is rough, but that's ok for the price. You can park right in front of your room. Overall good experience if you are not looking for luxury.

The room was very clean! After speaking with a family member that owns it, two years ago they renovated all the rooms and it shows. The price was so fair, and would stay there again when coming through the area. A+

This was an convenient inexpensive place to stay on my way to South Carolina, a clean comfortable room in an older motel. Friendly check in and about a mile to Creek Bottom Brewery, which had live bluegrass music, good food and great beer, and the motel is about a mile from the New River Trail which I will bike. My first time visiting Galax, and I want to come back.

After reading some reviews I was a lil hesitant but honestly it’s not that bad! The beds were a little hard so I can agree with the other comments there but honestly it was clean and a pretty easy location to get to! Checkin was a breeze and the staff was so nice! The only real complaint I had was that the ac was super loud for my kids and that the bath didn’t have a plug so I couldn’t give my baby a bath after 7 hours in a car but other than that it was great! Def staying here next time we pass through!

Reading past reviews, it seems that there may have been some problems in the past. My (and my brother's) room were clean, the floors had been replaced not too long ago, and the TV, refrigerator, microwave, etc. were modern and in great working condition. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This is an older motel that has had a recent renovation. The motel was quaint and clean and the man at the front desk was very nice. The retro pink tiled bathroom was clean, but definitely gave a dated feel to the room. The bed was not very comfortable - quite firm and with a squeaky metal frame. We stayed here as a stop on a Blue Ridge Pkwy trip, so it was convenient for that.
