"The room was clean and nice, but the mattress was so soft that I think it may have been old. I had a hard time sleeping. Breakfast adequate/average but the woman attending to coffee and breakfast items was very focused on keeping the warming trays full and customers happy. It would also be so nice for the staff at the front desk to be knowledgeable about all of the restaurants within a 20-minute drive still open in mid- to late-October and make recommendations. The one restaurant that was recommended to us was a four-minute walk down the road and not very good."

"My room was fabulous. Clean smelled great. . The heater was quiet and worked nicely . 2 chairs to watch the tv with pretty good Chanel’s to choose from. Light was perfect room was quiet and dark at night bathroom was clean a big the fan was quiet so I didn’t wake anyone up when I used the light . Enough plugs to use two c paps ! Hot tub looked nice but did not use .workout room had treadmill and exercise room bike a rare find. Everyone was super helpful. coffee and water in lobby hall . Parking easy and well lite . Breakfast had waffles eggs sausages tons of bread products to chose from cereal juice Better than last time ! Elevator and carts to bring luggage in Location was easy to find . Healthy type snacks in vending machine not the junk I was looking for . Coke and Pepsi at 2$ each great price. Laundry room Smoke alarms and fire extinguishers exits marked well . I always like the exit sign on floor level in case there was smoke . It will be my go to place ! A pool would be nice in the future"

"Had room 138. Very nice room. People above us checked in around 9-10pm and were very loud stomping around until after midnight. Not a hotel problem, but maybe reminders upon checking in to be courteous to the people in the room below you because they may need rest. Take your kids to a park and let them run instead of a hotel room."
The Brookside Motel Keystone Near Mt Rushmore

"We liked the proximity to town to walk and get supper. Town closes early in the evening, so dont get there too late. The town was really adorable. Parking at the motel was very limited, so if you have a trailer, you'll need to get creative. The shower wasn't really clean, and we did not use it. Overall though - the room was clean and the beds were comfy. We were told about the continental and heard it was amazing, but they didn't unlock the doors for it until after 7am sometime. We had to leave and suggest that you open it at 6:30 when the rooms are rented out. We brought our own coffee pot on our adventures. The room had a very small refrig and microwave, but they need to be in a cabinet. Overall a good stay and we would return."
