"So the hotel was wonderful, however after driving all day we arrived at 1900 and the manager could not find our reservation. After making calls and finding someone who could help at Expedia the problem was fixed. It too 45 minutes before the front desk received our confirmation from Expedia. If I had not called I’m sure we would have been double charged one from Expedia and one from the hotel. I had the same problem a few months ago with you guys and I lost $91.00 as I paid for a room I never stayed at. Please have your folks be a little more diligent, when folks like us are depending on them Steven Fusco"

"We traveled to Island Oaks with our 4 little ones (ages 6, 4, 4 & 1) and had an absolutely amazing time! Our whole family fell in love with this place immediately. We rented one of the tiny homes & it was so perfect...adorable decorated, extremely clean and stocked with everything you could need. There are so many fun things do with the kids that we didn't even get to fit them all into our trip. We are very much looking forward to visiting again on the future and have already recommended this wonderful resort to all our family & friends. Thank you Island Oaks for the beautiful memories ❤️"

"Let me start out by saying the staff were really nice. HOWEVER. This is one of the most disgusting hotels I have ever been to. It was filthy! There were baby cockroaches all over in the bathroom, mold on the shower floor, the room severely stunk, and the whole building was disgusting. It was so bad, I ended up getting a different hotel and the staff there said they have people coming from this Motel 6 all the time because it’s so bad. The new hotel also said that this Motel 6 is known for having bedbugs… so take that as you wish. The reviews of this hotel have to be paid l for. I have traveled through almost every US state, and 16 additional countries and I have never encountered a hotel as far from the reviews as that was."

"Our stay was excellent at the hotel nice breakfast clean facility good parking safe environment. The only store I took away was for the amenities in the room. They went cheap and got generic bulk shampoo, hand soap, conditioner, and there’s so much fancy writing all over the bottles that you can’t tell, which one is which especially in the shower"

"No beach access. Front of hotel under construction- you have to go thru a small plywood area to get inside. No parking and the hotel smells like mold. Nothing like the pictures online. Avoid at all costs. Are son’s asthma is acting up because of how bad the hotel is. So upset that Expedia had this listed as a nice hotel with good pictures and it was a bait and switch "
