My name is Jovan and I’m a medical device consultant. I travel quite frequently all over the world for work and this is the worst hotel experience I’ve had. After paying more than $1,400 for a 3 night stay, you would think that you would at least have HOT water to take a shower (which I didn’t have for the first few hours of my stay). On top of that the telephone in my room was broken, which caused me to take an ice cold shower just so that I can go downstairs to alert the staff. After my freezing cold shower and missing a Zoom meeting with the VP of Sales with the Fortune 500 company that brought me to Indianapolis, because there was no instructions on how to connect to WiFi in my room. After everything that I mentioned previously, I still kept my composure to go down and ask the hotel front desk staff to speak with a manager. I’ve never felt so disrespected, the lady went to the back and had me sitting in the lobby for several minutes, embarrassed as other hotel guests checked in, only for this woman to finally come back and give me every excuse in the world on why this happened to me, I am a Black man by the way, so if the same thing happened to someone else in the hotel that didn’t look like me, please feel free to prove my claim wrong. So after waiting and never speaking to a manager, which is all that I asked for, I was offered a discount that I still to this day have not received. I asked this people on 5 occasions for a receipt and still have yet to receive a receipt.
