The lodge was very clean, well kept, and modern. Had all the facilities you would need for a short stay. Although it was just off a main road, there was plenty private parking just outside the lodge and the road was barely noticeable. The farm shop located across the grounds was lovely, and well worth a browse. The cafe in the farm shop was excellent, best breakfast I’ve had in a long time and reasonably priced. Staff were pleasant, helpful, and professional.
Amazing! Marketing does not do it justice … heated bathroom floors , separate living room with a double pull out , a full kitchen , fresh milk , teas coffee there for you. Clean , we travelled through Scotland and Ireland this trip and this was by far our best stay! No dinner available only break or and lunch but amazing food and ice cream. Drive ten mins for dinner or bring groceries.

Amazing stay and a real find, will definitely be back next time I have meetings in Aberdeen or to visit family. Absolutely loved the lodge, THE most comfortable bed I've ever had in any hotel or self catering property, beautiful bathroom, fantastic quality bedding and fittings and very well equipped. Very stylishly decorated, it feels like a labour of love, so much thought has been put into everything and all the little touches like Sophie Allport mugs, lovely cushions, welcome gift and the copper coloured cutlery etc make this a very special place to stay at a very reasonable price. Also loved the cafe and produce, it was nothing short of idyllic. Make sure you take home some fantastic Barra Berries! Best raspberries I've ever tasted. I stayed for an expo at P&J Live, it was great location for this and Inverurie is close for shopping, restaurants and bars. Just brilliant....
Loved the charming location, with the castle setting and cafe next door! The cottage was very clean and comfy (the kids loved the nook space upstairs). Liked that there was a private parking area as well, given that there could be cars parked for the cafe. It's a bit tough to spot the drive upon first arrival though. The cafe was very nice, featuring their berries and lots of others options. Highly recommended and would definitely return!
The lodge was very nice, clean and tastefully presented. We did not meet the owners so cannot score them. Only negative was working out where our parking space was, creaky upstairs floorboards making the double bedroom noisy, not very warm water for showering and lack of laundry facilities - the reason I booked self catering for a mid week stay was to enable me to wash clothes but I was unable to find a machine and no mention of laundry in the owners guide.
Complimentary food basket was excellent.
Cute accommodation, clean and comfortable with a great place for breakfast and lunch close by. Easily walkable into Inverurie and somewhere I’d definitely recommend for a short break.
