Very large and filling breakfast. Plenty of space for all guests staying there. Hospitable and friendly hosts. It is a lovely place and would not hesitate to book again.

Very nice and clean accommodation. Host was very friendly and helpfull. Freshly cooked breakfast with lots of choices, we would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Even better than home

This is the third time we’ve stayed at our Dan house. Each time has been even better than the last Richard is such a wonderful host and the house is so comfortable we’d like to make it our second maybe even our first home!

Absolutely perfect stay. Richard is so helpful, and Sarah is an amazing chef and gets you to the boat on time. The house is gorgeous, and the owners are terrific. I absolutely recommend!!!

Lovely B&B. Host is wonderful. They picked us up from the ferry and took us back. Wine in the evening in the sunroom. Our room had a lovely view to the water. They also provided us with breakfast to go for the morning we left for the 6:45 ferry.

First class accommodation with a warm welcome

My wife and I enjoyed a two night stay at Ardoran House. Richard organised for us to be collected from the ferry pier at no cost. We were made to feel very welcome and Richard was attentive to every detail to make our stay enjoyable. The premises were modern, very clean and comfortable. We were welcomed with a glass of wine at 6.00pm and enjoyed two excellent breakfasts during the stay. I would highly recommend a visit to Ardorran house.

We loved the optional evening gatherings where we could meet other guests. The house has been made into a home by Richard, our host. He has added such a personal touch through the decor. Richard was exceptional - meeting every need with gracious kindness. Catriona was so efficient and practical providing guests delicious food to start each day. John (owner) and Richard (host) are both held in high regard on the island and beyond. There is a deep level of trust on the island. It is safe to move about alone at all hours. We would definitely stay at Ardoran House again if we were to revisit Iona.

Wonderful sea view from our room. Peaceful and quiet venue. You get a complementary glass of wine in the spacious lounge. Close to village and excellent Martyrs Bay Cafe. Breakfasts had a good selection of cereals and fruit. Good variety of cooked offering on the menu as well but our selections were not well prepared. Day rate a bit higher than the hotels so not great value overall.

Just a sensational accommodation.

John and Richard were the consummate hosts. We were expecting great things of Ardoran House and our hosts did not disappoint. Dare I say. They over delivered in spades. The house was spotless, homely, fresh and modern in a superb location within east walking distance of the ferry wharf from Fionnphort. Our bedroom was very comfortable and the outdoor spa wonderful. Breakfast was simply perfect. Our accommodation at Adoran House was one of the best we have experienced in all of our travels. We’ll be back one day and will be sharing our wonderful experience with family and friends back home in Australia.

Richard went out of his way to ensure that everything was just right for our stay. He was pleasant as well as professional. Our room in Adoran House was comfortable with a beautiful outlook over the Sound of Iona.

This is a beautiful establishment well run by Richard. Beautifully located on the beach but a little out of the way which means peace and quiet which you would want on Iona

Best b&b stay

Property was clean and lovely. Richard was one of the highlights of my trip. He was so lovely, helpful when i had logistical challenges and great fun to be around. I told him i dont drink alcohol so he brought me a non alcoholic glass of wine when i was in the hot tub. Breakfast was lovely too. I will be returning!

There was nothing about this property that we didn't like. Richard was a wonderful host and he went out of his way to make our stay as welcoming and comfortable as it could be. The location of the house was perfect and the views serene. The yummy breakfast was extensive and varied. I want to go back.

Proprietor is very welcoming. It was pouring rain when we arrived so he called a friend and we were picked up near the ferry. Some of the rooms look out to sea toward the Isle of Mull, but I enjoyed our view of sheep and Highland coos dotting the hillsides.

Glorious Time

It was fabulous, trip of a life time and staying at the Ardora Bed and Breakfast made it perfect. We could have not been more pleased from the delicious breakfasts cooked to our desire to the hospitality of a who were with us each day. A safe, secure place away for home that we could simply relish in. We will return.
