"The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. They provided us with a cooked breakfast as well as a selection of cereals. Shenandoah House about 5 minutes walk from the beach and is close to local shops, restaurants and cafes. It is also within walking distance to the Turner Gallery and Dreamland. "The hotel is entrance is just off the roundabout opposite the services. Large car park at the rear of the hotel the staff make sure you enter your reg on the tablet at reception. Very welcoming and helpful staff everything was explained. My room was accessed by a card and there is a slot on the wall to put it to activate the electricity. Nice room with plenty of space very comfy bed and lots of storage. Very clean in both the bedroom and bathroom which had a very modern easy to use shower also fresh towels,shampoo and shower jel supplied. I had food in the restuarant which seemed to have a limited menu but there was a menu on the bar with more options. The road near the hotel seemed very busy but it was very quiet at night and had a great sleep. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice and you could help yourself to as much or little as you liked. Cooked food was hot and restocked often. Overall a great stay with no complaints how often do you hear that. "

"Newly refurbished room with new very comfortable beds plus hard and a soft pillow. Only stayed one night so commenting on breakfast. It’s ground floor light airy space or sit outside. Choice of cereals, breads, pastries etc. plus great menu of cooked food. I wasn’t going to have anything hot but I was persuaded and it was made up of what I like and perfect. "

"I had a most enjoyable stay at Bay Lodge. The owner was most welcoming. Very comfy bed, lovely white crisp bedding & luxury white fluffy towels. Nice little unexpected treat in the fridge (chocolates) Great location for nearby beach or surrounding areas (via the train) Good cafe, shop & chip shop close by. "

"We had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend the hotel. The staff were attentive and friendly. Reception lady Laura was lovely and the perfect welcome. The breakfast has great options and good quality. The restaurant and bar again have great options. Lovely views. Nice coastal walks in your doorstep and nearby hot spots. The room was decent, clean, and tidy. We will be sure to come back again in the future. "
