"The affordability of this place allows us to visit more often. We have never been disappointed with the cleanliness or the staff or even the cleanliness parking. I do think the “light breakfast” in the morning could use a waffle maker or bagels or something like that but other than that is a nice place to stay for a night or two"

"Loved this historic hotel! Very unique and beautiful. Designed originally by local architect Joseph W. Royer in the Tudor Revival style and named in his honor after an extensive multi-year renovation. Room was very nice and clean. Bed and pillows were super comfy. There is a restaurant on site, but I did not eat there so can't comment on that. Nice bar and lounge area. Close to UIUC campus. Overall great stay and would highly recommend."

"I was able to stay in the updated remodeled area which I was absolutely blown away by. I even received a call once I had officially checked in and their customer service was wonderful. The updated area complety blew me away, it was cozy, beautiful and simply wonderful especially for the price. I was receiving, however side note you do have to put down a one hundred dollar deposit and I have not yet checked to ensure that I receive that deposit back yet I know it may take time as we all know, those things take time. Front desk was very friendly, very kind and very helpful. Recommend"
