The hotel has been open for +10 years and is currently expanding. The design of the hotel is on three levels, with quiet, shady, cool corners as well as sunny rooftop dinning areas. The dining areas have great views of the Jaisalmer Fort, which is a located two hundred metres away.
The craftsmanship of the lobby and rooms is excellent. Following the style of the historic Havelis in the area and made with stone and intricate woodworking.
Best of all was the Hotel Manager, called Khan. He made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of advice to make the most of our stay in Jaisalmer. Including helping us book a very memorable trip into the Sam Sands Desert, with a camel ride, dinner and local musicians.
We also hired Khan’s nephew as our Tuk Tuk driver and guide. Iram was brilliant, spoke good English and showed us to various sights over our three days.
Their Deluxe Suite was roomy, clean, and luxurious. Room stayed cool without using the AC on hot days and the temperature was nice for sleeping on cool nights even without us turning on any heating. Bed was comfy.
The hotel's design and many terrace levels offered chances to enjoy the fresh air, sunshine, views to the town and fort, depending on whichever you were in the mood for. The location was perfect!
The staff was professional and welcoming. The warm hospitality and personal attention shown to us by Mr Khan is worth mentioning.
We had a fabulous two night stay here. The service was just excellent and everyone was so kind and friendly. Our room was huge and beautifully appointed, bath products felt luxurious and bespoke. Breakfast with a view on the terrace was delicious and we had one dinner up there too, gazing upon the fort above us. The only thing we could possibly find to say that wasn’t perfect was that the room wasn’t at all soundproof, but frankly that’s just part of being in India. Not traffic noise, mostly dogs barking and occasional construction noise. Would happily come again.

Good location with many built-in facilities. Power outage and resetting of internet, TV annoyed us in the evenings and morning. Khan Bhai and his team(Muhammed) are very nice and friendly. They did their best and very helpful. Limited food options to choose from. We made do, expected more. More possibilities are built in, however under delivered.

The Hotel Grand Khalifa exceeded my expectations. The room was clean, airy and very spacious. The bathroom was clean and spacious too. Nice hot shower after our long drive from Udaipur!
The welcome drink was a nice touch. We had dinner and breakfast which were made to our likings. Mr Amardeen chatted with us over dinner and his laal maas was amazing! Must try if you are going in Jaiselmer!
The manager at breakfast, Mr. Khan, was very friendly, gave us an overview of the city, hotel history. We were able to store our luggage while went to the Dunes.
We will definitely be staying here when we come to Jaisalmer again.

I found the male receptionist very unpleasant and not welcoming at all!
Also, there needs to be more attention paid about the litter on the floors particularly at the breakfast outside area

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Grand Kalifa, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! The service was top-notch, with the staff being incredibly responsive, friendly and attentive to every need.
The hotel's cleanliness and amenities were impeccable, making my stay truly comfortable. But what really stood out was the exceptional care taken by the staff to ensure I felt valued and cared for.
But the real pièce de résistance was the Grand khalifa luxury Camp! Luxurious, serene and breathtakingly beautiful, it offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. Stargazing from the comfort of my outdoor bed was a magical experience I'll never forget.

Everything was perfect until morning breakfast. We had 3 rooms but turned away because we weren't listed on "their" breakfast list. Motel like this with room prices in $$$ shouldn't have "Breakfast List" to begin with. Come to USA even 2 star motels have free breakfast. I have been in lodging hospitality for 17 years and I have never seen 4 star hotel with "Breakfast" as paid amenities except for Hilton hotel group. We arrived late to even see whole hotel but still we paid full price as guests who checked in in afternoon. I usually don't write unless I see something to be corrected if a hotel needs to step towrd 5 star ratings in hotel industry. Thank you for memorable experience and what indian hotel industry needs to be corrected.
