"I am torn for giving the Fairmont Banff Springs a 3-star rating, however I just couldn't get over the tiniest hotel bathroom I've ever seen at a luxury property nonetheless.
I do have to say that the service at this property is outstanding. The Fairmont Gold experience is fantastic as was the amazing Gold Concierge, Oliver.
When I checked in I was assigned an accessible room which I was disappointed with. The concierge on duty assured me they would try to find me another room starting the next day, and in hindsight I almost wish I'd kept the accessible room as it was much larger with a huge bathroom compared to what I got in my next room.
Oliver was so very kind as upgraded me to a junior suite on the Gold level with amazing views. The room was absolutely lovely aside from the tiniest bathroom I've ever seen in any hotel, much less a luxury property. I understand that the age of this property necessitated some creative bathroom locations due to plumbing, however this is on the ridiculously small side. It was impossible to event close the door with one person standing in the bathroom.
