There was a large party downstairs (floor below) on the Saturday night we stayed there. Music from DJ was very loud and pounding/felt in our room until after midnight preventing sleep. The Restaurant was unavailable due to the party. I wouldn’t recommend booking a room on this property when the downstairs facilities are booked in this way.

What a lovely and pleasant place to stay.

I have to say that when I stayed here recently I was very impressed with this hotel excellent facilities and food was fantastic as were the staff .what a very pleasant experience will certainly be staying here again.

What a gorgeous little hotel. Staff were very good, felt like very professional service. Lovely comfortable bedroom, excellent food at dinner service and very reasonable. Breakfast was continental , left in the grudge in your room, and was delicious

Great little place to stay with a super comfortable bed. Nice size room with good amenities and a nice little balcony for an evening drink. Or there's a nice pub with good food just downstairs. If you're a light sleeper, the room we were in isn't the best option though as the door to the pub is right below the bed. But we slept great regardless. Definitely worth the money for a nice convenient stay.

Lovely hotel in quiet spot on main street in Jedburgh. Food looked amazing though unfortunately missed it due to my late arrival. Look forward to trying it next time!

A lovely one night stay in Jedburgh

Stayed at the Capon while attending a wedding nearby. Requested an early check in to get changed and drop bags which the hotel happily accommodated. Room was fantastic with a very comfy bed, fridge and was lucky enough to get the room with a small balcony which was perfect to have the continental breakfast which was placed in the fridge while out. Short walk to the town square and a little further is the magnificent Abbey ruins and castle jail if you have time. The young lady who'd checked us in early was very friendly and accommodating

Restaurant with accommodation. everything well prepared and well provided. some details are better than 5 star hotel. we enjoyed the dinner at their restaurant. no more breakfast service, but breakfast hamper was more than enough!

Don’t go on the night of the races!

Not so good. The breakfast was some croissants and cheese left in our fridge overnight. It was the night of the Cheltenham races…. The bar was noisy, full of inebriated men. So we cancelled our dinner reservation as it would have been noisy crowded and unpleasant.

Property was lovely, bar locals were friendly, owner and staff were all great. We had a problem on arrival where I was charged again by the hotel after already paying Expedia, but I contacted them and they contacted the owner who refunded me whilst he still had to deal with them to collect his payment. Ate in the restaurant two nights in a row as there really isn't anywhere decent in the local area after a certain time, but luckily the food here is great. Sitting in the bar before and after dinner chatting to the owner, Alistair and his locals was time well spent.

The bed was comfortable and clean. Nice decor. Chairs were not comfortable, too low. Nobody on the premises during the night. No emergency phone numbers supplied. Very little in the way of literature about the area. Security of residents’ rooms was questionable. Members of the public had access to the stairs near the front door to the bar.
