"I was not thrilled when I saw the pictures of the bedrooms and lobby online, but I booked because of the availability, the price and how close it is to the beach. When we arrived, the place was noticeably updated. The room is spacious, modern looking and clean. The beds and pillows comfortable. The staff was kind. Decent continental breakfast. We enjoyed our stay."

"This is a charming little place and we really enjoy staying here whenever we are in this part of Michigan. The receptionist seems like he’d rather be anywhere else but working and is not very friendly. The gift shop is also a mess and full of clutter. Otherwise, we really like it. They provide ice from a cooler and wine openers if you are in need. Parking slots are oddly designed, but convenient. Restaurants and like Phil’s and The Southerner are delicious. For fun, rent a bike and ride around the area and be sure to visit the giant Root beer barrel and enjoy an ice cold, frothy, frosty root beer! "

"Retro Rob is awesome! He helped us with restaurant recommendations, how to get to the best beaches. We met some great people at the resort bon fire. Had a great time in Saugatuck!!"

"Book early during summer...we booked the last room available at the Belvedere. Great owner/place, service, cocktails and best dinner we had. Not so fortunate on the last room of choice as it was on third floor a super squeaky bed which led to an uncomfortable night sleep. All in all, a great place!"
