"Stay was wonderful. Room WAS spotless, appeared to be new. White ruffled-type bedspreads, quality amenities in the usual bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, mascara remover, etc., iron, microwave, refrig., etc. Loved the shower.
Breakfast was really good. While eating sawmill gravy & biscuits, egg omelets, sausages, raisin toast & cinnamon rolls, oatmeal, coffee, juice, etc. enjoyed the view outside the large windows of the breakfast room. Indented into the bank across the narrow street was a large, half-moon shape with boulders and a waterfall effect. We watched the local squirrels, redbirds, jaybirds, etc. slipping down to take a drink. (Think this area was created & kept up by the hotel). The food area was well serviced by two ladies who apparently had worked there several years & could teach lessons on warmth & hospitality.
We stayed two days. Our room looked out on their swimming pool of pristine sky-blue water. Pleasant view particularly in winter.
Met manager, Gage Le Compte, the second day-could see why the atmosphere of the hotel was friendly & accommodating. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Freddie & Ginger Wolfe
