"Overall, we had a good two-night stay at La Quinta. The room was clean, comfortable, the bed was good, & most importantly for us, the room stayed nice & cool!
The biggest downside was the noise. Our room was the last room near the stairs, & the first morning we were woken up around 4:00 AM by someone going up & down the stairs, making a lot of noise and banging against the wall. We had hoped to sleep in later that morning, but housekeeping knocked fairly early to ask if we needed towels, & then the room next to us was being cleaned and vacuumed. Needless to say, we didn't get much extra sleep. This morning we decided not to even try sleeping in and checked out before 8:00 AM, even though checkout wasn't until 11:00.
Breakfast was okay and had a decent variety. They had eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon or sausage depending on the day, cereal, fruit, breads/bagels, oatmeal or grits, coffee, and different juices. The eggs tasted like they may have been powdered, the biscuits and gravy were a little doughy, and I had to microwave the bacon a little longer to get it crispy. It wasn't the best breakfast, but it did the job. I would like to see a few more diabetic-friendly or lower-carb options available.
Other than the noise and breakfast being just average, we had a good stay. The room was comfortable and cool, the bed slept well, and everything was fine our second morning. I would stay here again, but next time I would definitely request a room farther away from the stairs!"
