"The only drawback was how the breakfast area was arraigned. It was difficult to move around. Otherwise it couldn’t have been a better stay (2 nights). I will stay again when I’m back in the area."

This is the second year in a row that our debit card was charged twice for the stay due to “pre-authorization” and I was told it could take seven days to get the duplicate charge off of the card and the money back into our bank account. Fix this!"

"What an intriguing town and the Elk River Hotel is definitely the place to stay in Sutton. Emily is a native and warm and welcoming and Francisco is a joy. Don't miss his delicious Latin breakfast which is included in the price. The website could use updating. The restaurant at the hotel is closed, though there is a weekend bar, and a good place to eat in town is the Braxton Bistro. The hotel is situated directly on the Elk River in a beautiful spot. Try the glamping unless you have dog. By the way, the real Flatlands Monster isn't an alien, but the railroad tie plant in town."
