"Friendly reception, very attentive and accommodating Last minute stay for us. Close and Least expensive for our Spartan Race. Beds were very comfortable. Older but clean. Saw a few insects but nothing major. I would stay again if needed"

"You won’t find a better property in chimney rock. They did a great job with the updates to the grounds and the rooms. The “backyard” is amazing. The only negative to come by is the $50 charge to check in early. $50 for a couple hours? If the room is ready, let the guests in! I know it’s policy and I get it. Lots of hotels try it, just pet peeve of mine when traveling. Again though, just an amazing spot!"

"There is much character to be experienced and enjoyed here, including in the rooms themselves, which have wood paneling and tiling that have not changed in decades! Hopefully it stays this way. The front desk employee mentioned that a renovation is soon to begin. I hate to think that any of the hotel's distinctive features will be compromised or lost to history. The only real downside of my stay was spotty internet connectivity, but I'm willing to chalk this up to the sort of period,...

"Spruce Pine Inn was a great value for my son and I while snowboarding 1hr away at Beech Mountain. The gentleman at the front desk was very accommodating during both days of our stay. It’s not the “Hilton”, but for $50/night on a weekend, we couldn’t have been happier."
