"We stayed 3 nights over Fathers Day weekend. The room itself was wonderful-clean, spacious, with a great view of the bay. The hotel is very clean, well maintained-the beach included. Plenty of chairs for all guests to have one, and the beach area was perfect to sit by, enjoy the waves, and take in the beauty of the area. The location of the hotel is perfect-on the Main Street of the resort area, easy drive to everything Traverse City has to offer.
There were a few very minor hiccups with the staff. We arrived a little before (215pm) the 4pm check in time. Went to the desk, asked if the room was ready. We were told no, but he would call us when it was ready. We never received a call, which was a little irritating, since he said we could head to the beach if we wanted (we chose to leave and do something else for the approx 90 mins). When we did return, after checking in with the same front desk rep who said he would call when room was ready, I had to ask the front desk attendant for the room key. Neither of these were horrible experiences, just a little refining of the service is needed.
Overall really enjoyed our time at Grand Beach Resort, and would return."
