Cabin Rentals in White County

"We were towing a small trailer and were accosted by the front desk person even before exiting the vehicle to check in. He literally came out the front door, pounded on the passenger window and loudly proclaimed we couldn't park here, even for a moment, while checking in. We had to drive around the side, find a few open slots and park, then check in and then we had to tote all our luggage from the far end of the parking lot to the front entry and then down the hall to our room. Not a good start. Room was OK, fairly quiet, bed comfy and plenty of pillows. Good hot water but low pressure in the shower, and the shower curtain rod was literally falling out of the wall--you couldn't keep the shower curtain closed because its own weight bowed the curved rod down at the center and both ends of the curtain slid to the middle. On the up-side, they did have a mid-size fridge and freezer. TV worked but the remote had broken buttons so you could only enter channel numbers or click through one-way, no going back. Breakfast was very limited, the only hot item was biscuits and gravy, and a waffle maker. No fresh fruit, no yogurt, etc. Overall, not a good option, and there's a reason it's by far the cheapest option in the area."

"A decent place to when visiting Harrisburg. My room was clean. It had amenities like microwave, fridge, and TV. My bed mattress was soft and the bed was a bit squeaky. The windows didn't have shear drapes but just the main curtains. The bathroom was clean. The shower functioned well. The complimentary breakfast was okay. It had cereals, bagels, make your own waffle, coffee, couple of juices, and apples. The location was ideal for me and the room rate was pretty reasonable for all the amenities. The staff member service was friendly and good. I liked my stay here. "

"A nice place for a night or two. Rooms were clean, and staff was really nice. It was a loud room between the fridge, outside noise, and next door rooms, but it did the jo ."

"Ray at the front desk was nice. We asked to be switched to a different room because the sheets were clearly dirty. There was also no closet or hangers in that room. The next room seemed cleaner but the sink barely drained and it smelled musty. There was an ironing board but no iron, a coffee maker but no coffee. It was very quiet and there was only 1 other car on a Saturday night."

"Rude staff - acted like my presence at check-in was nothing but a nuisance. The carpet in our room looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in quite a while. Absolutely no free continental breakfast - the small dining area's lights were off and no food or coffee was available all 3 days we stayed there. This was the only hotel to stay at in this small town, so we had no choice."

"The cleaning "fragrance" was overwhelming throughout the property - made me wonder "what are they covering up?" Toilet kept backing up, first time it flooded the bathroom, second time overflowed some - would have been nice to have offered me a different room. To their credit, the responded quickly to the issue but it was still not "working right" - gurggled and fingers were crossed everytime I flushed. "
