"We don’t want to stay at any other hotel whenever we visit the island. The breakfast buffet is amazing, the staff is amazing. Asia and Arianna at the front desk were very friendly. Roxy makes the best omelettes, literally could not wait for breakfast the next day after arriving to have the omelettes. September and Brian made having breakfast every morning a memorable experience, please don’t forget to support and tip the kitchen and restaurant staff as they work very hard to make it happen. The hotel property is within walking distance to Starbucks, 7/11 and Foodland which is convenient to grab a bite to eat. Definitely recommend staying here, 100/10"

"Convenient location in Kamakana Alii. Knowledgeable, Friendly, Informative staff. Loved the amenities. Great place to rest in between shopping or night cap after drinks. Only downside was they were doing some renovations in the dining area, but otherwise highly recommend."

"We had an amazing family vacation at Aulani! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, and check‑in was quick and easy. The resort is truly designed for families — there were so many activities for the kids, and plenty of things for adults to enjoy as well. Getting around was simple, and it was easy to explore outside the hotel without dealing with traffic. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing after long days of fun. We loved our stay and would absolutely recommend Aulani. We’re already hoping to make this an annual tradition!"

The staff is clearly well-trained in managing large crowds, and for those seeking a high-energy vacation club environment, this may be a dream. The Service Experience However, my experience was deeply disappointing. We booked this stay to break up a long journey from Thailand and New Zealand and to mark our 40th wedding anniversary. After a grueling red-eye flight, we were looking for the resort experience one expects at this price point. Instead, we felt "trapped" in a perpetual sales pitch. When we sought technical assistance with the resort’s app at the welcome desk, we weren't given a solution; instead, we were met with a misleading high-pressure invitation to a timeshare presentation. I would never have booked this location had it been clearly disclosed that the priority here is timeshare sales rather than guest relaxation. Dining & Health Issues The logistical hurdles with the app meant we missed out on reservations for the main restaurant. We turned to the pool grill, where I ordered a BBQ sandwich that arrived dry and burnt. Regrettably, I ate it anyway—an error that cost me the next two days of my trip due to illness. Final Verdict While the property is physically beautiful, the "hotel food" warnings I received were an understatement, and the aggressive sales culture ruined it."

It’s hard to beat that combination of: • peaceful, resort-style villas • easy walk to shops and restaurants • a safe, secure environment • and having both a beautiful pool and beach right there Ko Olina in general has that relaxed, upscale vibe that makes family trips feel effortless.
