"This guest house is absolutely unique - it has an atmosphere of a hut in the woods, and it is actually in the woods. on the way, you pass by an ancient castle, which we loved to explore. At the guesthouse we received one of the best meals we ever had, so special and so well made! Finally, the rooms were comfortable and quiet, and the common dining room is quite interesting and very cozy. The staff was generally polite, but not particularly welcoming or friendly. The breakfast was disappointing, with limited options and average quality. "The owner was lovely, as were rest of the staff. We had a warm welcome and a tour of our room prior to check-in. The Superior room was incredible. Really nicely furnished, clean, plenty of complimentary amenities. We had an amazing meal in the evening - one of the nicest we've had in Slovenia, followed by an equally enjoyable breakfast. "Parking right next to the hotel (for a fee). We loved the location and ability to easily walk into town. The room was clean and had what we needed. Three negatives: (1) the walls are VERY thin; we could hear our neighbors talking fairly clearly from the hallway and in our room, (2) the shower is very small and was leaking over the floor and (3) there is no elevator so we had to carry our bags up the stairs, but the staff did offer to help! "located very close to the center of the main area and convenient to the lake shore, restaurants and grocery while keep off the busy main road. The hotel has e-bikes ready for rent which is very convenient. Top floor has amazing view to the lake and castle😍. Only shame is the elevator only goes up to a floor bellow top one. "I would not recommend this place. Receptionist met us when we arrived. Told us there was staffing issues at their hotel in Blef. Gave us the code to the front doorand a number to call for emergencies. We went to dinner, came back at 930pm. There was not lights on inside or outside the hotel. We had the only car in the parking lot. We made our way up to the front door and had to find out where the light switches were. We fell on the steps . DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE. "The hotel is clean and well-appointed, if a little bit sterile compared to smaller hotels in Bled with more “character”. However the pool and sauna - with huge windows overlooking Lake Bled - are top notch. Worth visiting for those amenities alone!"
