"Patumu Hotel is well-located near the entrance to Ngorongoro Crater National Park. The hotel is simple with clean rooms and comfortable beds, but a bit dimly lit. The hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful in directing me to local services. There was ample parking and a restaurant."

"The location of this lodge is amazing, offering a serene setting to enjoy the wildlife of Tanzania when not on safari. The lodge sits on the edge of a marsh and gave us multiple terrace options (including a private one attached to our room) to do some bird watching. While there , we saw the African fish eagle and Black-and-white cascade hornbill, songbirds too many to count, along with some visiting Vervet monkeys. "We had a fabulous experience here staying one night before our Safari and a night after the Safari. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. The area is beautiful and part of a coffee plantation. There were a couple of internet moments of on and off but beyond that, no complaints"
