"I have very mixed feelings about my stay. The resort itself is beautiful, featuring three massive pools, and generally good food with smiling staff. However, the "behind the scenes" experience was exhausting, and by the end, I was actually ready to head home early. I moved to 3 different rooms within the first few days ( Room 1: Started with a toilet that wouldn't flush and a massive sink leak. Maintenance was intrusive, returning after I asked for privacy and leaving dirty boot prints behind....

"The room was so interesting and beautiful. But the grounds were the best part, the outside areas were serene and well landscaped. My friend and I enjoyed sitting out or enjoying a hammock by the river often. I also enjoyed that there was a small row boat that I could row over to the beach area. We had our first dinner there and it was the most delicious meal of our 14 day trip (the volcano one)."

"Octavio was very helpful and took care of us. The room was not clean. The floors of the bathroom were dirty as were the walls near the toilet. The jacuzzi tub is too high for climbing in and out unless you are over 5' 8" tall. There needs to be steps allowing for safe entry. I banged my leg the first time trying to get into the tub (while using a children's plastic step) and received a huge bruise when I slipped. My husband had to help me in and out of the tub from then on. I am 5'4" btw....
