Nice property. Park is cleaned and lake is nice. Cabins are like dorm room with cement walls and not fancy but was great for us. Great view of the lake and short walk. Staff was helpful when you could get someone on the phone. That part is not easy. Getting details on what room you booked is not easy as well. We could not figure out if we had a kitchen until we got there. Overall great stay and we have booked to stay there again.
We loved the view, overlooking the lake and watching the moon and sun rise each day. It's the best part about renting a cabin at the state park instead of a hotel in town.
However, there are no "amenities" which are usually helpful in a hotel stay. Last time we stayed here our cabin had a kitchen. We expected the same this time, but there was no kitchen-Not even a small refrigerator or microwave as hotel rooms usually have. There was a coffee pot, but no filters. The bathroom shower included a space for shampoo and conditioner, but none was provided. The cabin includes a closet, but only one wire hanger. The TV is tiny. The screen door slams shut when exciting the front door. An extra blanket for the cool nights would have been appreciated.
Will we stay here again for next year's homecoming? Maybe, but I'll come better prepared knowing now that nothing is provided except a bed and great view.
Very peaceful and quiet! Loved being so close to the lake

70’s Lake Cabins
This property is changing hands as we experienced. No one to check us in & they had not gotten our reservation. We had to search multiple buildings on this property only to find a hostess at the restaurant to try to help us. After a half hour of her reaching out to her boss via his cell, we were told to give them an hour to have someone to clean our cabin-its dark, we are on unfamiliar surroundings & not close to town. But we go into town & do some grocery shopping. Come back, get in our unit only to find out there’s no kitchen. The next day we get in touch with this manager & they move us. We had no idea there were different units on this property-only what we saw on hotels.com. With no availability over the weekend we went home & returned the following week to complete work. These units are cute, relatively workable, probably last decorated in the early 70’s. Lake views, walking trail, restaurant, small gift shop/bait shop/boat rental but seasonal accessible. Maybe a good girls weekend place if new owners get it together.
Such a pretty lake and was able to see it from our back porch. The beds were comfy and the room was clean.

We’ve stayed in the cabins several times. We arrived late on Friday and utilized the key box to access our room key as instructed. But, the key didn’t work. We had to call the after-hours number and it took us an hour to get a new key, from the time we arrived.
Our shower also didn’t have soap, shampoo or conditioner.
Nice unit n was attached to the next unit which was family. Highly recommend!!

The cabins on the water are beautiful. The entire state park is very well kept. The beach area is cure toy under renovation. The restaurant has good food and large portions. The boat rentals need TLC. The cabins are clean, but in need of a facelift. Renovation is warranted. Overall great place to stay.
