Great location, excellent breakfast and facilities.

This is a very comfortable hotel with friendly staff. We were on tge 8th floor and had a good view of the river. Breakfast was very good. Japanese style but with lots of choice. They also do free ramen in the evening, but was from 9.30pm so too late to be appealing to me. Lots of restaurants nearby, particularly doing seafood. The real benefit of the hotel was the onsen on the top floor. Wonderful views and even had an outdoor hot pool and a sauna as well as the usual baths. The sign did say no...

The hotel was typical rural Japanese, the showers are shared in the onsen area (no en suite). Breakfast was served to you but was really typical Japanese (don't expect western food here).

This hotel is located just a 5mins walk away from the Kawayu Onsen Station, but more ideal for travellers getting around with a car. Hotel is within driving distance of its surrounding attractions. The innkeeper was a very warm and friendly old man who although could hardly speak any English, won us over with his sincerity, hospitality as well as, his delicious breakfast set. Onsen facility was rather !old and would have preferred if there were private showers in the room rather than having to...

It is a bit out of the way (you would prob need to drive here which is prob why we thought it was mainly for coach tours) but for a large and well appointed hotel it was remarkably good value for the room itself (which was well appointed with lovely bathroom). We chose not to have breakfast or dinner here as that seemed expensive so made do with what we picked up earlier at a conbini on the way here :). There was a nice games area in the hotel basement and we played some table tennis there. It...

Breakfast is great

Really nice hotel with beautiful Lakeside setting. Excellent public areas with free entertainment.

If you arrive by train, you will not find more convenient as it is directly across the road. Large enough room with a comfortable bed. Two family restaurants literally 2 minutes away for good value meal options.

An absolutely incredible hotel set within a stunning forest. You can watch the wildlife from the windows. We saw deer, a fox, birds including woodpeckers, butterflies and stag beetles. The onsen was great, especially the outdoor pool and the food was fantastic

Small but functional room, clean, unique experience with no staff hotel.
