Occasionally whilst on your travels you stumble upon somewhere you really feel at home ... this is how it was when we stayed at 88 Baron van Reede.
The accommodation was just perfect, comfortable and relaxing. Huw and Zoe, gave us a very warm welcome and spent quite some time, advising on local attractions and restaraunts to visit, even providing discount vouchers for some of them!
Zoe's assortment of home made cakes, pastries and jams, were also a lovely touch, and the breakfast selection...

This was such a special place to stay, feel like we found a little slice of paradise! The accommodation was stunning, the grounds amazing, the pool area gorgeous! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, breakfast was gorgeous and cooked to order! Unbelievable stay, wish we had longer there ❤️

From the welcome we received to the farewell the level of personal service we received from the owners Albert and Elsa were unparalleled.
Very tastefully decorated, spotless and in a beautiful location overlooking the river. We only stayed one night but will definitely return and stay longer. Loved our stay.

Highlight of our holiday. We stayed for 2 nights and went on 4 drives and saw so many amazing animals. Pretty much everything very close to the vehicle - which was more than I could have hoped for. Our ranger was passionate and knowledgeable as well as determined to make the most of our trip for us. You will not be disappointed if you book here and want to see Lions, Elephants, Buffalo, Giraffe, Hippo, Cheetah and actually so much more!

This is a great place to stay and use as a base for exploring the area. We had two double rooms and each room was fab. We had everything we needed and the breakfast was lovely. The owners and staff were fab and friendly. Plus pointed us in the direction of local restaurants and places to see and took time to book us on a Canvo Cave tour. As for the garden and pool area I just wanted to spend more time sitting next to the pool and explore the garden. We will be back to visit ☺

Very peaceful and beautiful place to stay. Easy access to Cango Caves and Meerkat experience. Friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Welcome drink and warm welcome on arrival.
The only minor issue we had was that we noticed quite a few ants in our bedroom in the morning.
We would still recommend this place to others.

Our host Hermein was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble.
The rooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean.
The breakfast was everything you could have wanted. I had the fruit with granola and yogurt. Followed by loads of toast and a cooked breakfast with the tastiest smoked bacon I’ve ever tasted.
She organised a free taxi to and from a lovely local restaurant on the evening of our arrival.
We left the next morning for the short drive to the caves, the wildlife sanctuary and the ostrich...
