"The staff that I encountered at the desk and bar were wonderful. The location was nice. However whoever owns the property needs to address maintenance, cleaning and the issue of an overpowering signature scent that is used in the property. I’m not a picky traveler or especially sensitive to smells but had to open the window to get fresh air. If the windows weren’t operable I would have had to move to another hotel."

"On the good side, hotel is very charming, rooms are clean and wi-fi is decent enough, location is great (just outside of the city centre). Staff was always very friendly and smiling, breakfasts were also OK, but a bit repetitive after a few days. On the bad side - it is not a quiet hotel. Doors do not block any kind of noise from the hallway, major motorway link was just outside of our widows, so leaving them open for the night was not an option. "I booked the double loft room which was cosy but functional. There was not much space to move around but had a comfy bed and nice shower. Sadly there was no desk in the room as it was quite small and there were no real facilities to work from when downstairs (there is a restaurant on the ground floor).
