Absolutely beautiful property and a wonderful place to stay with a comfy bed and an incredible view over the bay. Both the hosts were so nice and helpful and we both really enjoyed chatting to them over an amazing breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

A superb guest house in a good area. Kevin our host was very helpful, paid a lot of attention to details and serves a good breakfast. The views from the rooms over the estuary were lovely.

An absolute Rose of a place amongst many thorns

Such a pleasant location in a beautiful place we’d go back in a heartbeat. Everything about Roseroc was fantastic. Kevin was a wonderful host and throughout our stay we had excellent service, whether that was the lovely touches in the evening of port and chocolates, or advice about places to go and restaurant recommendations or the fabulous breakfasts, we had a wonderful stay. Nothing was too much hassle, the hotel is closely located to everything you’ll need and it just made for a very relaxing stay.

Wonderful time in Knysna

We spent an absolutely wonderful time in the Roseroc guesthouse. The property is tastefully decorated, the breakfast is very tasty. Kevin is a great host who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. This is definitely a place to stay at while visiting Knysna.

We stayed in many Hotels while travelling along the garden route. This guesthouse was by far the best! The view is awesome, the rooms are beautiful, best breakfast and especially Kevin the host is the best host you can have. It was a pleasure to stay here.

A Great Place to Stay in Kynsna

Kevin is an attentive host. The accommodation is well presented and very comfortable. The accommodation has fabulous views and is convenient for all the amenities in Kynsna. Kevin was particularly helpful in informing us of good local and attractions. We would happily stay there again.

Unhygienic and unsafe feeling!

This place have ants and carerpillars in the rooms. The kitchen was dirty and we couldn’t see our self eating breakfast there. Overall the place felt unhygienic. There was also messy around the keys, and it took them a while to even find a key that fitted the door, but still with a doubtful safe solution. We didn’t feel safe to leave our things in the room and leave for sightseeing and dinner with that defective locking systems. The one thing that was good was the view. We left without even opening our suitcases!

A fantastic accommodation with such a lovely host. The view from the house is amazing and the host is so sweet - giving a lot of advice on what to do, what to eat etc. Every evening we got a small evening snack and on Easter also an Easter chocolate at breakfast. About a km from centrum in an area that felt super safe walking around in.

It was a very quiet period and we had good service from the management however we had a long period without any water whatsoever and had to ask for bottled water. It’s a very conveniently positioned property within easy reach of all amenities. Breakfast was very good, perhaps a fridge in the room could help

We loved our stay at Roseroc. Everything was perfect and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to family and friends. It was clean and private. We had a beautiful view of the water from our balcony. Breakfast was incredible, probably the best breakfast we have ever had at a B&B or hotel. Kevin was so helpful and kind. Thank you for the perfect stay in Knysna!

We have just spent 2 nights at Roseroc. We had a lovely room with balcony over looking gardens and super views of the lagoon. Kevin was a great host and most helpful in restaurant and things to do recommendations. The breakfast was very good. The ‘Roseroc poached eggs were divine’. The was a glass of port and little shortbread biscuit waiting for us on return from our dinner, a lovely end to the evenings. The guest house is walkable to the waterfront but we got Ubers back with no problem. We would return again if back in SA.

Roseroc Knysna.

Firstly, we are not people who whinge over nothing or tiny problems. We had been recommended this place by a family member who had stayed 3 years earlier. We booked a Deluxe Queen room. There was NOTHING deluxe about it. We asked to move but the other rooms were taken. This property is in a state of disrepair and needs money spending on it. The website is VERY misleading. The pool was unusable, dirty and full of leaves, gardens overgrown and unkempt. Sun beds covered in leaves and dirty. Our room was damp, had to ask after 3 days for the towels to be changed and for more toilet roll. The bathroom was awful - blackened grouting in the shower, peeling silicone behind sink, old bathroom fittings. Doors didn’t fit properly and had to be banged shut.The host is charming and very knowledgeable and gives great recommendations. Breakfasts are good. No one at property to meet us when we arrived and we were left in the dark in the property on our first night with only the torches on our phones when the power went off until the owner arrived with a lantern. Overall, our stay here was not pleasant, we wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone which is a pity as it has great potential.

Knysna break

Kevin and Cornell were the perfect hosts. Room was great as was the bed. Each evening we came back to a glass of port and some fruit…lovely touch.
