"I'm writing regarding our stay at Park Manor Hotel from June 4-7. I tried several times to speak to the manager but they have not returned my calls or emails, so I am writing this message. We were in town for the Belmont Stakes, and had four rooms in our party for three nights. However, we had many issues. When one of us checked in and arrived at her room, the door was wide open but no hotel staff was in sight. Later on, a man opened the door and entered her room. He was embarrassed and left before she could ask who he was.
I was in an "executive suite", and water leaked through the ceiling in the bedroom. The staff moved us to another room, which is a standard two-queen. Were we charged the rate for the suite? We only stayed in the suite that one night. No one has answered me.
Later that evening, the front desk called my elderly parents' room after midnight, waking them up and scaring them. The front desk also called our new room, after midnight as well. They seemed confused as to which room had the leak.
The next day, a friend came to visit us and the front desk gave her a key without checking her ID or calling me to verify. They just gave someone a key to our room.
I reached out several times before submitting this review. Clearly the staff are facing challenges with the hotel infrastructure and systems. I am empathetic, but am hardly in a position to write a good review."
