We booked the room for 2 nights to ensure that it would be ready when we got there and we would not have to wait for a check in time. Planned to check out around 11 PM The that day for our flight. Hotel is listed as right near airport, and had a shuttle. Actually it is about 10 minutes from the airport in a residential neighborhood with nothing around. No restaurants, stores…nothing. "Not at all welcoming, no towels in the room, broken mosquito nets over the windows and a terrible breakfast (including frozen papaya). Unfortunately this was the first day for us in Sri Lanka and since our stay we have realised how unrepresentative of the Sri Lankan hospitality this place is and how poor value. We had originally planned to stay here the night before our return journey but we cancelled our booking and went elsewhere as a result of this stay."
