"The rooms are outdated and have a strong baby powder smell. While they provide the necessities, the furniture and overall condition need improvement — both chairs in our room were stained. There was also a private party during our stay, and the noise and music carried on until 2 a.m., making it hard to sleep. The location does not actually offer views of the Vjosa River from the rooms, only the mountains. On the positive side, breakfast was enjoyable with a nice view and good coffee, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s fine for a short stop to enjoy breakfast, but I would not recommend spending the night."

"We had an absolutely wonderful time at Hotel Bineri. From the moment we arrived, the whole household was incredibly helpful and welcoming. They were so hospitable—taking the time to show us around, share the fascinating history of Gjirokastër, and even give us tips on the best places to visit (and a few to avoid). The property itself is beautiful, full of authentic charm that reflects the city’s character, yet with all the modern comforts you could want. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and had breathtaking views over the historic town. Breakfast was delicious every morning, with fresh local products and plenty of variety. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the old town, making it easy to explore the cobblestone streets, traditional houses, and the historic castle. This was truly one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. We left with great memories and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend Hotel Bineri to anyone visiting Gjirokastër!"

"Stunning stay in the hills above Gjirokastër. Beautiful hotel, food at the restaurant was amazing, stunning pool area and the staff could not do enough to ensure an amazing stay. If you are driving yourself to the hotel, do NOT follow Google maps, sure you ask for the road route video before you arrive to make life easier. The road leading through the town are very narrow and steep."
