"A gorgeous property, down a long driveway and far from any boise other than birds and the breeze. There are ruins of a large manor/chateau (?) on the property that formed the view from our room and fascinating to wander through. The hostess is lovely and the breakfast delicious."

Located 5 minutes walk from the train and bus station, the room was decorated with great care and was super comfortable and clean. "What an unexpected treasure Château de La Ballue. I had booked this stay while touring the Normandy beach landings for just one night. What a shame we were only there for such a brief time. The home is charming and beautiful. The room was perfection and the grounds were such a surprise. I had no idea they were world class manicured gardens complete with a labyrinth!
