"We went for a weekend and I highly recommend the Holiday Inn. The room was clean, the AC was cold, the bed was very comfortable. Two cons: 1: the room was that we got the room behind the elevator. While we did not hear the elevator, the layout wrapped around the shaft and that meant a narrow hallway to the room, which was annoying with bags and a stroller. 2: the bathroom door was a sliding barn style door and it weighed a ton. I struggled with it, so kids or the elderly will simply have to poop...

"For us the best part of our stay was the view. Each room has a larg (very clean) window overlooking amish farm fields as far as the eye can see. We also enjoyed watching the hot air balloons floating by and a beautiful sunset off to the west. All that and an exemplary breakfast in the morning. We will be back.

"What a gem my wife and I found in this site. Kim our hostess is a doll. Friendly and knowledgeable of the local area, she made our stay pleasant. Breakfast was superb, with a small buffet of delicious home-made delicacies.

"This is an incredibly charming stay. The rooms are beautifully decorated and hands down the CLEANEST place we've ever stayed. There is a darling coffee and breakfast spot directly across the street. It is walkable down the main street which is lined with historic homes that lead to a terrific ice cream shop. Strasburg has a lot to offer in terms of an Amish experience and train tourism.
