"We stayed for one night for my husband’s birthday. The property is quite dated and in need of renovation.
The air conditioner didn’t work, leaving the room very cold. Once we contacted management, they sent someone to fix it. We were excited to use the pool and jacuzzi; however, there was no indoor kids' pool, and both the water and the surrounding area were too cold for toddlers and adults alike. Other guests were expressing the same concerns.
I am unsure if the restaurants are managed by the hotel or operated independently, but the food quality was poor. At the Italian restaurant (Azzurro), our food arrived very late. They brought our toddler’s meal last, and it was cold. After an hour of waiting for our polenta chips, we were informed they had 'dissolved in the oil.' They did offer us a complimentary tiramisu as an apology.
The cheese plater was good from Sublime but kids cheese burger was low quality not recommended.
On a positive note, the lobby was clean with good facilities, and the cinema was well maintained. The kids' playground was modern and useful. Other amenities including ice skating, the motorboats, the big slide, and the Kidz Zone are available for an extra charge. The outdoor area was nice and tidy. Overall, it is a family-friendly property."
