"The hotel advertises the fact that they have a 2 year plan for refurbishment etc and state that the rooms are professionally cleaned and then sealed. We didn't find any evidence of this, either from the cleaning point or the sealing of the room, and would point out that the "professional cleaners" may want to buy a new vacuum cleaner because the one they are using doesn't pick up very well from the carpet. On arrival at the room we noticed that there was just one solitary teabag, barely enough milk and sugar for two cups of tea. Again this is usually something the cleaning staff would cover. We were going out for the evening and asked at reception for more teabags, milk, sugar. When we arrived back we found these items outside the room in the corridor on the floor in a tea cup! When we were leaving for the evening besides the teabags etc that we asked for we also asked if the toilet seat could be fixed because it was hardly secured and was in grave danger of causing someone a mischief. We were told that the maintenance man would be asked to sort it out. Unfortunately he either didn't take any notice of the request or wasn't asked because it hadn't been fixed by the time we returned. To exit the hotel is an archway which contained dog poo bags in one corner and a couple of 5 gallon containers of used cooking oil against the wall with approx another 10 containers just outside. There are other detrimental facts but this review doesn't allow more than 1500 characters."

"Ultimately the most important factor was the cleanliness of the bedroom and the spotless bathroom. The shower was perfect. The staff were pleasant and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble."

They were lovely and went out of their way however: No hot water in the morning Blocked drains TV didn’t work No sanitary bin Stains on the ceiling Uncomfortable bed Thin walls Incredibly noisy but ineffective flush This could just be bad luck and I give the benefit of the doubt here. As I say, staff were super helpful and I’m sure with some investment and effort it could be great."

"Nice room but unfortunately very poor parking. They were digging up Brecon high street which made it a bit inconvenient, but it was planned maintenance so just one of those things."
