"The location of the hotel is good and has an outdoor seating area looking over the river. The room was small but clean. It was noisy as we over looked the courtyard and people sat there were noisy. There is an £8 a day charge for parking. Seating in the bar was quite comfortable. It is not a good hotel if you can not manage stairs."

"What a wonderful find!!! We travel extensively and it is rare that every factor of a good stay is met- this hotel met them. The staff upon arriving were warm, friendly and efficient and this continued though from breakfast to dinner. The food and ambiance of the restaurant was awesome. We had the set evening menu and the fish was amazing.The breakfast cooked selection was great too from extra vegetarian sides of courgettes and spinach - which I had with my English breakfast. The Spa was great and the pool nice. One downside point it was not clearly stated before booking that hotel guests have restricted access included before 9am and after 5pm. This should be noted before booking. It is not in the centre on Conwy but a good 45 minute walk in- however such a lovely setting in the exclusive marina with great views across the harbour it is worth it. We will definitely stay again"

"Great location - 10 min walk along river into Llangollen - superb town. Hotel grounds lovely, good facilities, breakfast good-ish. Room in the modern extension (20 years ago) was upgraded at small-ish cost via auction. Comfortable but creaky bed. No a/c and as bedroom was at front and weather warm, was a bit of noise...England at World Cup on TV for one of the nights! Overall, best looking hotel in town based on our search and very easy parking. Spa looked great, but didn't use."

"Hotel was very busy with a wedding reception during my short stay so I didn't visit any of the hotels amenities. My room was good with a very welcome bath, but when you lifted the loo seat it wouldn't stay so I had to hold it due to the sh3lf above the lavortory. Breakfast was good but the person in charge was slightly over the top in her welcome, insisting on telling me how breakfast service operates, which I didn't need. She then served me the smallest coffee pot available."
