Top Lower Manhattan Hotel Reviews
DoubleTree by Hilton New York Downtown
8/10 Good
"The staff were very friendly and helpful. We arrived several hours before check in and were unsure what we would do with our luggage but once we arrived we were informed that there was an area dedicated to luggage storage. This really helped as we were able to leave our bag while we went about our day before we could check in and have somewhere to store our bag the next day before left the city."
Moxy NYC Lower East Side
10/10 Excellent
"Great location. Small but well thought out rooms. Very helpful staff."
The Washington
8/10 Good
"Room was decent size - cleanliness was okay. Hotel is in a convenient location. Staff was nice for check in and check out"
West Village Eurohostel
8/10 Good
"Only stayed one night but was surprised in how well maintained it is and in the quality service from the staff. Was more akin to a high end hotel than a hostel. I had the basic single room and it's small. If you are 6ft or over I don't think you are fitting in the bed! It was comfortable though. Shared bathrooms have always put me off but it was cleaned regularly and the shower was really good. If you are planning on a solo trip to New York you can do a lot worse than staying here."
Club Quarters Hotel World Trade Center, New York
10/10 Excellent
"Free water refillable at every floor, but normal rooms have small window (almost none, window next to and behind pillar) and facing area surrounded by building."
The Dominick
10/10 Excellent
"This is my second time at The Dominick. Staff are very kind and friendly. Very organized. Room is very clean with crisp sheets. I didn’t try the spa but we had dinner in the room first night. Great delivery and clean. Lava cake was fabulous. Thank you."
Soho 54
8/10 Good
"Front desk staff is exceptional. Super friendly, helpful and kind. Room was updated and clean. Nice bath products. Beds were comfortable. The hallways were horrible-extremely shabby and depressing. Elevator took forever. I believe one may have been out of service though."
The FIDI Hotel
8/10 Good
"Room small but adequate. Seemed recently decorated. Bathroom small, but very adequate, very European feeling. Only problem was almost no storage. Closet very small, but worse was absolutely no other storage: no wall hooks, no shelves, no place but small floor area to put suitcases. Possibly adequate if very little luggage. Staff very nice and helpful. HVAC fine. Good black- out shades. Included breakfast just OK. Afternoon included wine and cheese on top floor good. Downtown location excellent and within 2 blocks of 4 different subway lines. Price of room more than satisfactory for NYC ( room prices at Doubletree directly across street more than double). Overall would have been exceptional value, if only some additional storage options."
