This cruise exceeded my expectations. Spacious cabins, wonderful sundeck, excellent food, smooth cruising, small capacity relative to other boats and service oriented staff made for a very enjoyable time. At first I was going to book my own guides, but opted instead to book the cruise's siteseeing package. Glad I did, Hamad our guide was outstanding and there can be delays in the cruise do to timing in the river locks which could make coordination with outside guides difficult and stressful. This is an excellent luxury cruise experience.

The cruise exceeded our expectations for the price. The staff and service could not be better. Everyone was polite and friendly. Everyone seemed to take pride in their work and strived to provide a great experience. We bought tours separately and our tor guide, Hamed, was excellent. He is very knowledgeable, personable and informative.

We had a marvelous and magical time on the MS Alexander the Great! I loved that it wasn't an overly large cruise ship. It has 30 cabins or so. Worthy of note, the shower water pressure in the bathroom was great. The upper deck was lovely for viewing. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The staff was accommodating in every way. Evidently it has been recently refurbished and the cabin decor was very nice. It felt modern and updated. All our visits to the various sights were well-coordinated. I would highly recommend this cruise ship.

Wonderful!!!

Boat is beautiful. Def not a party boat but excellent for relaxing and enjoying Nile views. Food was very good and the staff were first rate. Not too many people which was a plus for us. Only one complaint: there are vendors on the boat and towards the end they became a little annoying with trying to push their wares. Other than that I would cruise again - it would be great for a romantic trip or relaxing vacay.

We are 4 friends from Greece that we had chosen Alexander the Great after recommendation. Overall the experience exceeded our expectations. The Journey from Luxor to Aswan was amazing, the hospitality, friendliness of the staff and the owner was unique, everything was clean and the food was very tasty with a big variety. It was really value for money and I recommend .

Brilliant trip

Superb experience boat very nice, cabins lovely and feed outstanding very enjoyable cruise. Slow trip down to Aswan rather than racing to get there as fast as possible, so nice to see the sights of the Nile. Great staff lovely and friendly would definitely recommend. Many thanks Grahame and Joanne

MS Alexander the Great is a good choice for a Nile

Overall the MV Alexander the Great is a good ship for a Nile cruise, its a smaller ship and caters well for the passengers. Cabins are large and comfortable although a bit dated. Staff are helpful and pleasant. Although I did have a problem when paying the bill when they said that their credit card machine didn't work and that I'd have to pay in cash. However I didn't have enough EGP to cover the bill and they wouldn't accept AUD$. If I had have been told that the credit card machine didn't work then I wouldn't have bought beers at A$10 each. When unable to pay any other way the credit card machine now it suddenly miraculously works. This did leave a nasty taste to the end of an otherwise good cruise.

Super croisière sur le Nil. Les cabines sont immenses pour un bateau de croisière. La nourriture est vraiment excellente et le service impeccable! Nous avons prit l'option sans les visites et c'était un très bon choix. Faux savoir que les bateaux de croisières se suivent tous à la queue le le, ce qui fait que quand vous arretez pour visiter un site, et bien tous les autres bateaux arretent aussi. C'est infernale la quantité de gens en même temps dans les temples. Bref si vous pouvez faire vos visite en dehors des croisières c'est mieux. Si non les paysages le long du Nil sont époustouflant. Je recommande fortement ce bateau pour l'espace, la bouffe et la propreté. Bon voyage à tous ✌️

A very enjoyable cruise holiday

There was a technical issue with the cruise ship, but they arranged an alternative with another cruise company, which was a very good cruise and we were looked after very well. The sightseeing arrangements and the guide too were superb. Highly recommend!

Absolutely Luxurious Cruise

From start to finish the staff and crew were so welcoming and helpful. The meals were prepared with care and art and was presented always in a beautiful manner. The rooms are absolutely spacious and the balconies are just incredible. On the top deck there was a pool and jacuzzi and plenty of sun bathing chairs. The housekeeping were like ninjas cleaning the room twice a day and always leaving a sweet towel animal on our bed every evening. We were so pleased with everything and highly recommend this Nile cruise. Our Tour Guide Amr was an absolute highlight as well. Amr was thorough and fun and educated us on the Ancient Egypt ruins. His knowledge was outstanding and friendliness even better. Amr you were our Top Guide in Egypt. ❤️ Michel the tour operator made sure we were well taken care of. Thank you everyone Shukran ❤️❤️❤️

One of the best experience

This was one of the best cruises we ever did. The Crew was incredible, gentle, polite. The Nile was amazing. Amr was one of the best guides I ever encountered, Hamed knows everthing about egypt, Nassar was a great driver. Congratulations on everything and Thank you for a delightful experience.

A wonderful nile cruise on a yacht

First impression made no big statement upon entering , but as we were given the key to our cabin it dorned on me that this was a special ship in deed and so it was. I was delighted with ,the Cabin was very large and elegant in an understated kind of way. The crue are all fantastic from the general manager that made sure that everything was perfect, to the cleaning staff that kept the cabin as well as the rest of the boat spotlessly clean .The food was superb .It's impossible to find anything negative to write. I highly recommend this cruise !

Lots of lies

The hotel explanation says wifi is free, but they want to charge you 25 US dollars. The explanation says there is a business center, but actually there is no center. It says there is SPA, but it doesn't exist. It says it will provide free shuttle connecting the ship and an airport/hotel, but it didn't. I waited for a driver but he didn't show up. I finally took a taxi but failed to catch the plane, and I had to purchase another plane and waited for it for another five hours. The worst was the English-speaking guide, who spoke strong Egyptian accent strange language. There are so many ships on the Nile. I cannot believe why this hotel.com picked up the worst one. (some ship crews and waiters were kind and friendly, though.)

Great experience - impecable service, very good food, excellent excursions. It is a rather old but reasonably well kept boat (though some bits IMHO need replacing). The on-board tour guide (Hamed) experienced, well versed, but perhaps lacking enthusiasm. Also, his English pronunciation was hard to understand. the only disappointment is overpriced bar. But I guess when you book a cruise, you automatically subscribe for the price monopoly.
