Sports Championships stay

Short weekend stay for sports championships. Great hotel with restaurant attached. Friendly staff. Much bigger room than expected with all amenities. Highly recommended

Gold level Service and Accommodation

We have stayed here many times and the service, unit cleanliness, front office staff each deserve 6 stars, however only 5 are available. Thank you again for making our stay an enjoyable one. We will be back when next visiting MacKay.

I arrived very late and staff were great about communicating checkin procedures, which were smooth. The hotel looks ordinary from the outside but the rooms are clean, large and well appointed. In-room breakfast is generous. Nearby hotel with good dining options.

Shamrock gardens

Check in was easy and supper friendly and welcoming. Only issue was the washing machine in the room wasn't working but the receptionist offered to do the washing for us.

Room review

Rooms are clean and quite spacious as is the bathroom. The washing machine and dryer to do a load of washing in the room was a bonus. The bistro meals were amazing and within a minutes walk of the room. Continental breakfast is great. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Clean unit, excellent cleaning staff are very attentive to detail. The breakfast they leave in the unit each day is good. Chairs need replacement. The shared balcony is not private enough to use. But it's generally quiet, clean, well appointed, and next to the Shamrock which has excellent pub grub. Not close to downtown or Caneland mall, but the nearby Botanical Gardens are nice to walk around. I've stayed multiple times and will be back.

Staff seem lovely - place is very clean and spacious! Maybe should have done research into the property. Smokers on the balcony & the balcony is connected and easily accessible for the neighbouring guests . Unable to use our balcony due to smokers on balcony and having a younger child beside two adults smoking right beside us and only a small gate between. Couldn’t open the curtains unless wanting the pub to see right in to the apartment. The shamrock is great for dinner and just walking over, but is pretty loud. Ideally not a place for a family unless attending events at the shamrock or a smoker who can sleep through the deep and meaningfuls of the neighbouring guests on the balcony. It is a great location to things. The toast, yoghurt, biscuits, tea& coffee with juice was a nice little bonus for their breakfast. But we won’t be returning!
