"Had a really wonderful trip to Miyazu, and my stay at Hotel Kitanoya was truly the highlight of the trip and one of the best decisions I made. As this was my first time staying in a ryokan and trying a kaiseki dinner, the experience exceeded all my expectations.
The room was very comfortable, clean, and spacious for two people even with our large luggage. The private open-air onsen in the room was definitely the best part of the stay. It was incredibly relaxing and made the whole ryokan experience feel extra special.
The kaiseki dinner was also beautifully prepared and delicious, making it a very memorable first experience. The entire ryokan had a peaceful, quiet, and calming atmosphere that made our stay even more enjoyable.
Service from the hotel staff was excellent. Everyone was warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay, which made us feel truly welcomed and well taken care of.
As for the location, we were self-driving during our trip in Japan, so I cannot comment much on the convenience for those relying on public transport. However, if you are driving, getting around is very convenient.
I would definitely recommend Hotel Kitanoya to anyone visiting Miyazu, especially for those looking to experience a traditional ryokan stay. Would love to return again in the future!"
"Was told to pay 7623 JPY during checkout for an outstanding buffet dinner on the 11/02/2026 which I have already paid on that day. I tried to use my bank app to check but unfortunately the app has loading issues due to network. In the end I managed to find the payments "
