"The property was updated, & clean. Man behind the desk was friendly and helpful. Cookies a nice touch. Good breakfast space and selection for breakfast was good. Didn't have time to use pool area, but looked spacious and fun!"

"Nate was awesome…if we needed anything we had it in an instant. He provided local knowledge with a great sense of humor and professionalism. It is absolutely, without a doubt, the best place to stay in Galena. Tons to do and see within walking distance. We would definitely do Hotel Galena again! "The room was beautiful: spacious, nicely decorated, and very clean. Unfortunately, other parts of our stay didn't match it. The jacuzzi tub in our room wasn't working, which was a letdown since it was one of the reasons we chose this property. We were traveling to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary, so before our trip I contacted the hotel to ask if they could arrange something special for us. I was happy to pay extra, but I never heard back. When we arrived, I brought it up again at the front desk, but the receptionist didn't seem to be having a good day and wasn't very helpful. For a special occasion, we hoped for more attention and better communication. The room itself was lovely, but better responsiveness from the staff and a quick fix for the jacuzzi would make a big difference for future guests."
